A Happy Thanksgiving

We hope everyone had wonderful Thanksgiving! The twins were full of surprises and delights, as usual. First, Gavin got into "Thanksgiving dinner mode" and practiced making a huge mess with his meal:

Then, on Thanksgiving morning, Evie stood up unassisted for the first time! She was sitting in the middle of the floor, and just stood up easy as pie.

After she did it once, she was so excited she did it several more times:

Thyen we headed over to Grandpa & Grandma Cordes' house for dinner. The twins ate first in their portable high chair seats:

When it time for all of the adults to eat, we gave the kids some green beans and potatoes, which they promptly threw on the floor. Evie got really fussy and Francis had to finish his dinner like this:

Gavin was content after we gave him a frozen rag:

Gavin also made a big discovery: Grandma & Grandpa's kitchen cabinets do not have latches!

He didn't actually take anything out of the cabinet... I think he was fascinated just being able to open the doors!

I remember when Grace stood for the first time and that cool feeling of knowing that physically she was reaching another milestone. The only problem is that no one told me that once kids start to walk and run, they don't stop!

Oh my gosh, what a huge wonderful mile stone she's made! You're really in trouble when she starts walking too. I love watching them grow up. Just beautiful......
