At Auntie Di's last house last week, Evie was determined to pet Fern, who was hiding on the stairs. Fern was determined to stay away from tiny hands and kept backing up. Evie kept crawling up after her, and I thought this would be a great exercise for Evie...but she gave up first.

Evie offered the cat treats to Fergie, forgetting that Fergie can't actually open the jar:

Gavin was in a happy, loud mood and really wanted to pet Fergie. But since he had already pulled her by the tail that day, she was keeping her distance!
