Evie in Recovery

When we finally got to see Evie, it was almost 8 pm. She looked a lot like she did after the first surgery, only bigger. She has 2 IV's, a chest tube, Foley catheter, NG tube, and breathing tube. Overall, she is doing really well! I know that she may look frail in these pictures, but she is such a strong little girl.

We are so grateful for all the prayers ! They really helped get us through the day, and helped Evie pull through her surgery like a champion.

In the photo below you can see where they made the incision and where the chest tube is connected, which will stay in for a few days while excess fluid drains away.

We took the video below before the surgery, when we were getting her changed into her hospital gown. You wouldn't think that this baby had not eaten in about 10 hours, and had not had a nap in about 4 hours! I think this is Evie's way of telling us she will be just fine!
