Gavin's Medical Procedure
As you may remember, Gavin was diagnosed with vesicoureteral reflux, grade 4, when he was a few months old. He has been on antibiotics ever since to prevent more urinary tract infections.
Today at 7:30 am, he is scheduled to have a proceudre to correct his reflux. The procedure is called deflux, and it is an outpatient procedure. He will be under general anesthesia. The procedure should take 45 minutes, then he will be in recovery for 45 minutes to an hour, and then we can go home. We really hope and pray that things will go as scheduled!
We are bringing the laptop to the hospital (it will be at Edward Hospital, nice and close) and we will post updates during the day.
