Last night (Friday) Auntie Clare joined Francis in his visit:
Evie woke up and was very active - she tried to reach for Francis:
And touch his head:
"Stretching feels good, Daddy! Thanks for taking my wrist restraints off for a little while!"
This photo below is from today (Saturday). Evie had woken up and was wiggling all around. Her nurses said she was "doing the Watusi" in her bed. Of course, she acted all sleepy when I took out the camera:

Guys, it's fitting that she's finally pink for Valentine's Day! Hooray for the better function and the clearer lungs. You both look terrific - hang in there!

Hooray for another good day, Evie! Your Uncles David & Brad wish we could come see you, but we are still getting over colds. Don't want to give you anything, so we are keeping up with the blog, praying for you, and can't wait to see you off the machine and on the road to coming home. We love you so much!!!
Oh guys, I get all choked up seeing her, she's such a little fighter! We continue to pray for you all!

Those are some fancy watusi moves! So happy she is on the road to recovery! Prayers still all around from MD!

Little Evie -- you are a real heart breaker!!!! It's so wonderful to see you reaching for Mom and Dad but it hurts so much to know they can't hold you just yet. Soon --- you will be cuddled by the entire staff at the hospital. Keep up your fight; you're doing beautifully. Lots of love from Berni
Thinking of you as Monday approaches - we'll be praying for Evie all day and hope that she'll be successfully weaned off the ECMO machine. She is one incredible little girl!
Stay strong and God Bless you all!
Love,
Beth, Jimmy & Frankie
