Exploring More of the Zoo

On Thursday we went to the zoo again, and this time we met up with Grandpa and Grandma Cordes. We decided to meet by the big fountain in the center of the zoo, which currently has a huge dinosaur in it. I had forgotten how loud they roar, and of it course it roared as soon as we stopped by the fountain, and Gavin got really scared. Luckily, just then we spotted my parents and Gavin was quickly safe in Grandpa's arms.

This time we looked at the zebras, giraffes, camels, and other hooved animals. The kids were not too interested in them. Evie shook her head at most of the anmals, but she loved the butterfly exhibit.

Gavin's favorite thing by far was the carousel. It was the twins' first ever carousel ride, and Gavin had a huge smile on his face the while time. He sat on three different animals before deciding on the zebra:

I wasn't sure about putting Evie on an animal, so she and I sat on a peacock bench with her oxygen tank:

She liked it! Next time I think she'll be just fine sitting on an animal.
