Saturday With Nana & Grandpa

Here are some pictures from last Saturday, when Nana & Grandpa Cermak came over to play with the twins. Grandpa read The Little Red Caboose to Gavin, who is suddenly interested in trains.

Later on, Evie set up our Little People nativity set, with just a little help from Nana & Grandpa. Evie has really benefitted from receiving occupational therapy at school. She works on fine motor skills like cutting, writing, grasping, etc. We have noticed that she has an easier time sorting shapes and picking things up, and her hands seem stronger.

Whenever Gavin plays with the nativity set, he first knocks it all down. Then he says, "Oh, no, baby cold, Mommy!" and then he lines up all the animals in front of baby Jesus so they can breathe on him.

Along with the nativity set, Francis dug out some other Little People sets from our basement. We now have Santa and all his reindeer, and the North Pole, upstairs. Gavin was excited to play with them - he kept saying, "Gavin got new toys, Mommy!" It does work to rotate toys!
