The twins had their one year physical yesterday! The kids did really well, despite the fact that Evie had not taken a nap at all, and Gavin slept so long I had to wake him up to go to our appoinment. Gavin weighs 22 lbs, 10 oz and is 32 inches tall - this keeps him in the 95th percentile for height and 50th percentile for weight, which is where he has been for several months.
Little Evie weighs 15 lbs 10 oz and is 27 inches tall. We are just thankful that she managed to triple her birth weight (5 lb 1 oz) by 12 months, although she still doesn't weigh enough to be on the growth chart! And her height actually puts her on the chart, in the 5th percentile (woo-hoo)! Because she is so tiny, the doctor wants her to stay on her high-calorie formula for a few more months, but Gavin can start drinking whole milk.
Below, the kids are enjoying one of their birthday presents: a bookcase from Aunt Sassy (aka, Auntie Clare). They like to pick out books and throw them on the floor. The also like to pull out the drawers and take everything out. You can see one of the drawers is no longer in the bookcase:
We have a mobile on the pack-n-play, and Gavin managed to pull it down almost to the floor:
Then the kids took all the animals off and were messing with the wind-up box:
Evie gets into just as much mischief as Gavin:
Here is Evie in one of her new jackets from Grandma Cordes:
She has a new sleeper on here, but it is partially obscured by the fascinating Star Wars tin:
Here's a close up:
Here's Gavin with one of his favorite toys:

Congrats you guys on surviving the first year. God's blessings as you embark on the second as you have REALLY gotten through a lot and each year gets better, take it from a three year veteran now!
