Half of us are Home

Just a quick update; I'll post more later and some adorable pics of Gavin swimming in his "newborn" sleeper (maybe we should've gotten preemies) and the car seat (he looked like just a head and blankets).

Sharon was discharged on Thursday, but it took forever because Edwards was packed with new mommies. We finally got out of there around 3PM. Edwards had to open up a seldom used third floor because there were so many new babies, and we overheard our neonatologist say to someone that she was on her way to her 7th c-section of the day (and it was only 11AM!).

Evie, unfortunately, had to stay in the NICU because the doctors wanted to watch her weight, so the earliest she could come home would be Saturday. It was hard leaving her, but her weight was 4lbs 15oz, not too far off her birth weight of 5lbs, so we're hopeful she'll come home on Saturday.

Last night (Thursday night) was a real trial for us new parents. Gavin seems to have his days and nights switched, so he sleeps all day and was up all night. My brother-in-law, David, will be watching Gavin this afternoon while Sharon and I go to visit Evie. I'll post some pictures later this evening.
