Home With Gavin

Our first weekend at home with the Gavin was fun, filled with lots of new experiences and relaxing with family. We also visited Evie every day in the hospital. The whole set of photos from the weekend is here. I'll load a bunch of new photos of Evie in a separate blog post.

My sister, Clare, got us these cute signs for our front lawn!

This is me on Saturday morning after three days of parenting. Sharon snapped a pic around 9AM. Looks like I fell asleep holding Gavin. We've been sleeping on the couch next to the Pack 'n Play, where Gavin's been sleeping, because Sharon's confined to one floor, and it's easier to do feedings. He's wearing his "Sweet Pea" outfit in the photo, aka sleeping gown, aka "potato sack." They're the best outfit ever as far as I'm concerned. They keep the baby warm and making changing diapers a snap. They're especially good for Gavin because he kicks all the time and he was kicking off his swaddling blanket. He's got his mittens on because we haven't filed his nails yet (which we did after his bath on Sunday, which I'll post pics of later). We bought four of those potato sacks and between spit-ups and peeing, he went through all four in a single day.

Lots of family stopped by over the weekend, and David and Brad were our champion baby sitters for Gavin while we visited Evie in the NICU three days straight (thank you guys!). Here's Gavin with my parents, Nana and Grandpa Cermak:
