Live Blogging the Surgery (Updated 6 PM) Success!

Evie's surgical nurse just came out and told us that they are done with the procedure! They just have to close her up and bring her over to the PSHU (peds surgical heart unit). This is where she stayed last time and the nurses here are awesome.

We are now waiting in the PSHU family waiting room, so within the hour we will be able to see our baby girl. Evie did GREAT during the surgery. Her oxygen saturation levels remained in the 70's. Once they finally got her IV's in, the surgery took 3 hours. They cut 2 MAPCA's, and one more that was the partial pulmonary artery that her body created. So a total of 3 vessels were combined into the shunt.

We will do another post when we get home tonight - we took the cutest video of Evie while were changing her into her gown this morning!

Thanks be to God for the successful surgery! Evie and the rest of your family are in my prayers.
